英语中定冠词the一般表示特指，那么以下的这些情况我们也需要用到the:

1.特指某人或物时；

eg: Is this the girl you told to me?这就是你给我说起过的女孩吗？

2.指谈话双方都心知肚明的人或事物；

3.指上文提到过的人或事物；
